Website terms
Terms of Service
These terms set out the conditions for using fretworkguitar.co.uk, the website of Fretwork Guitar Studio. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
They cover what the website is for, how the information on it should be read, how enquiries are handled, and where responsibility sits. They are written for visitors to this site, not for any other arrangement you agree with the studio separately.
What these terms cover
The site exists to explain the tuition the studio offers and to collect enquiries. Everything below follows from that single purpose — it is not a general agreement about how lessons run.
- Using the website
- You are welcome to browse, read the guides and send an enquiry. You agree to do that lawfully and without interfering with how the site works.
- What the content is for
- Pages describe tuition and offer general guidance on learning guitar. They are informational and can be edited at any time.
- Sending an enquiry
- An enquiry starts a conversation. It is not a booking, and it does not commit you or the studio to anything.
- Where the law applies
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute falls to its courts. Nothing here removes rights you hold under that law.
Use of the website
The site is provided for information about guitar tuition and for submitting enquiries. You agree to use it lawfully and not to attempt to disrupt its operation, access restricted areas, or submit false or misleading information through its forms.
In practice that means: read what you like, and use the enquiry form to describe your situation honestly so the reply you get is useful. Do not script bulk submissions, scrape the guides to republish them, or probe the site for areas that are not meant to be public. If you notice something broken or exposed, tell the studio rather than testing it further.
- Browsing pages and reading practice guides is free and needs no account.
- Enquiry details should describe your playing level and what you want to work on, as accurately as you can.
- If access to any part of the site is restricted, you agree not to attempt to reach it without permission.
Content and accuracy
Content on this site describes tuition offered by the studio and general guidance on learning guitar.
It is provided for information and may be updated or changed without notice. Nothing on the site constitutes a contract for lessons; lessons are arranged separately after an enquiry.
Guides are general guidance
Practice routines, warm-ups and chord notes on this site are written for a broad range of players. They are a starting point to discuss, not a prescription for your playing.
Pages can change
Lesson formats, studio hours and the wording of these pages may be revised. Where a change matters to an enquiry already underway, it will be raised in the conversation with you.
No contract until confirmed
Reading this site or sending a message does not create an agreement for tuition. Format, frequency and cost are confirmed directly between you and the studio.
Enquiries and communication
Submitting an enquiry does not create a booking. Lesson arrangements, including format, frequency, and cost, are confirmed directly between you and the studio. Information you submit through the site is handled as described in the privacy policy.
The studio replies to enquiries during its office hours, usually by email or phone using the details you provide. If your situation changes before you hear back — you have a different goal, or a new time constraint — say so in the same thread and the plan can be shaped around it. Please keep messages to the studio accurate; if an enquiry turns out to be based on mistaken details, let the studio know so the reply can be corrected.
Nothing on this website is an offer you can accept to form a lesson agreement, and no payment is taken through the site. Anything about scheduling or cost is discussed with you directly before it applies.
How lessons work
Intellectual property
Text, guides, and other material published on this site belong to the studio unless stated otherwise. You may use practice guides for your own learning. Republishing content commercially requires written permission.
Printing a guide for your own practice folder is fine. Sharing a link with a friend or a bandmate is fine. Copying full guides onto another site, bundling them into paid teaching material, or presenting them as your own work is not — ask first, and the studio will normally say yes to reasonable requests.
Third-party links
The site may link to external websites for reference. The studio does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.
Links are included because they may be useful for practice — tuner references, tab sources, gear notes — and they are checked from time to time. If you follow one and find it has changed hands or stopped working, let the studio know and it can be reviewed. Terms you agree with an external site apply there, not here.
Limitation of liability
The site is provided on an as-available basis. The studio does not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and is not liable for losses arising from reliance on general information published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it.
What that means in plain terms: the guidance on these pages is written carefully, but it cannot account for every player, guitar or practice room. Decisions you take from general reading are your own. If something you read seems to conflict with advice you have been given elsewhere, raise it with the studio before acting on it.
The studio remains responsible for the tuition it agrees with you directly, and for handling your enquiry details in line with the privacy policy. Those obligations are unaffected by this section.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are published means you accept the revised terms. The current version always appears on this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of its courts.
How will I know if these terms change?
Revised terms are published on this page, and the wording you read here is always the version currently in force. Significant changes that affect how enquiries are handled will be reflected on the relevant pages too, so nothing important is buried in one legal page nobody revisits.
Do these terms cover lessons once they start?
No. They cover the website only — reading it, using its guides and sending an enquiry. The arrangements for any tuition, including format, frequency and cost, are agreed directly between you and the studio and are separate from these terms.
Can I reuse a practice guide from the site?
Yes for your own learning — print it, annotate it, keep it in your folder. Commercial republishing, or passing guides off as someone else's work, needs written permission. Ask through the contact page and a request is usually answered quickly.
Where do I ask a question about these terms?
Send it to the studio by email at [email protected] or by phone on +44 20 7950 7855 during office hours, Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Questions about enquiry data specifically are answered in the privacy policy.
Questions about the site, or ready to start?
If anything in these terms is unclear, ask before you rely on it. If you already know what you want to work on, send an enquiry and the studio will come back to you with a plan to talk through.
