Send an enquiry and get a plan back
Tell the studio what you want to play and when you are free, and you will get a personal reply with a suggested lesson plan and the cost for it. There is no price list on this site because plans differ by format, frequency, and goal. The form takes a couple of minutes. Nothing is booked until you confirm a suggestion suits you.
14 Denmark Street, London, WC2H 8LS, United Kingdom
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Saturday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
The form is the same as the card: a few clear details and the studio writes back with a starting plan.
A personal reply comes back within a few working days, with a suggested starting path and the cost for it.
What to include in your message
Four details do most of the work: your instrument (or that you do not have one yet), the music you want to play, roughly how much time you can practise between lessons, and the days or evenings you are usually free. Add anything else that seems relevant, such as previous experience, an exam date, or a preference for studio or online sessions. If you are unsure about any of it, say so.
If you are undecided between studio and online sessions, mention it. Both formats cover the same material, and the reply will include a recommendation with reasons rather than a generic menu.
Not sure what to write? A single sentence about what you would like to be able to play is enough to start the conversation.
What happens after you press send
Reply within a few working days
Your enquiry reaches the studio inbox and gets a reply within a few working days. That reply proposes a starting path and includes the cost for it. Every enquiry is read by the tutor who would teach you, so the answer is written for what you told us, not copied from a template.
You stay in control
If the suggestion does not fit, respond and we will adjust before anything is booked. You can change the format, the frequency, or the goal at that point. Nothing is scheduled and nothing is charged until you say a suggestion suits you.
Your details stay private
Your details are used only to answer your enquiry. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass your message to anyone else. What you send is read by the studio and used to work out the plan you asked for.
Starting points we hear most often
If you have not played before
Complete beginners are a large share of enquiries, so there is nothing to be embarrassed about. You do not need a guitar to send an enquiry, and advice on buying one comes free with the reply. First lessons assume no prior knowledge and no ability to read music. Tell us what you would like to be able to play — a song, a style, or just the sound you have in mind — and we will work from there.
Worth mentioning: whether you have ever held a guitar, and whether you would rather borrow one for the first session or shop for your own before starting.
If you are returning after a long break
Mention roughly how long you played and when you stopped. Returning players usually keep more than they expect: chord shapes come back within weeks even if the fingers are slow at first. The first session assesses what has survived so the plan does not waste time on material you already know. Say which songs or players sent you back to the instrument, because that is usually the fastest route into a plan you will actually practise.
Worth mentioning: an old tutor's approach you want to avoid, or a habit that held you back last time.
Costs are quoted with your plan, not listed here
Prices depend on format, session length, and frequency, so they are quoted with your plan rather than listed here. The reply you get will state the cost of what is being proposed, with no obligation to proceed. If the figure does not work for your budget, say so and we will suggest alternatives.
What changes the cost
Format: studio sessions or online. Session length: a trial session runs shorter than a regular one. Frequency: weekly, fortnightly, or a short run before an exam or performance.
What the quote covers
The cost of the specific plan being proposed, including which format and how often. It is the same figure whether you book studio sessions or work online.
If it does not fit
Reply and say so. We will suggest a different frequency or format before anything is arranged, and a single trial session is always an option to start with.
Online guitar lessons and studio sessions are quoted on the same basis, so you can compare the two without a separate conversation.
Studio or online? How to decide
Both formats cover the same material, so the choice is about your week rather than your ability. Studio sessions suit learners who want hands-on correction and a booked slot that is harder to skip. Online guitar lessons suit irregular schedules and anyone far from the studio. If you are undecided, tick the box in the form and the reply will include a recommendation with reasons rather than a generic menu.
You can also move between the two. Learners who travel with work often keep a regular studio slot at home and switch to online while they are away, using the same plan either way.
Looking for the studio
The studio sits on Denmark Street in central London, a few minutes from Tottenham Court Road. Sessions run Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. If you would rather ask something before filling anything in, call or email and you will get the same answer the form would produce.
Questions before you send anything
If the answer you need is not here, put the question in the message field. There is no obligation attached to asking, and a question is often the quickest way to work out which format suits you.
Not ready to write yet? The lesson formats page explains how private, online and graded exam routes differ, and the how lessons work page walks through a first session step by step.
How long until I hear back?
Enquiries get answered within a few working days. If you have not heard anything after that, check your spam folder and send a follow-up, since form messages occasionally land there.
Do I need to commit to a block of lessons?
No. The trial session is a single session and you decide afterwards whether to continue. Ongoing lessons run on an agreed frequency that can change when your circumstances do.
Can I ask questions before booking anything?
Yes. Use the message field for anything you want clarified, including instrument advice or whether a format suits your goals. There is no obligation attached to asking.
What if I do not own a guitar yet?
Send the enquiry anyway. Say that you have not bought one, and the reply will include a short note on what to look for and what to avoid at your budget. You can also book the first session before deciding, if you would rather try a guitar with someone who can explain what you are feeling.
Four details, one form, then a plan written for you
Your instrument, the music you want to play, how much you can practise, and when you are free. Send those four things and the studio replies with a suggested starting path, the cost for it, and no obligation to go ahead. If you would rather talk first, call +44 20 7950 7855 or email [email protected] during opening hours.
